VIDEO: Bronto by Baddies + Album Release Date & Tour Dates

You might remember at the beginning of December I unveiled the return of Essex noise merchants, Baddies. They came back with first track Bronto and are giving it away as a free download.

Bronto is a welcome return and a small taster of what to expect on their second album, Build, which is out on the 5th March through Medical. To coincide with the album release, the band head out on the following UK dates.

Feb 6th Southampton Joiners - Tickets
Feb 7th Wakefield Escobar

The band are also playing upstairs at The Gargage in London on the album release date of the 5th of March.  (Tickets). So I suppose now I should show you the video for Bronto, because that’s why your here isn’t it? If it isn’t then I don’t know what to tell you, but you should check out this video anyway, because this band are friggin awesome! Here you go….

New Noise in 2012… Secret Rivals

So welcome back to what is my first post of 2012 and what is the start of  the ‘New Noise in 2012…’ series. I’m starting with a glorious band from Oxford who create summery, frenetic, 90′s tinged guitar pop. I give to you, Secret Rivals.

Secret Rivals

The 4 piece consist of Clouds on Synth & Vocals, Jamie Corcoran on Guitar & Vocals, Reece Chapman on Drums and Andrew Murton on Bass. Already signed last year to Kittiwake Records in London who released their single, ‘Tonight Matthew’ to some great praise from the likes of Tom Robinson and Rob Da Bank. With this under their belt, they released mini-album ‘Make Do And Mend’ on indie label, Haslegs Records, in September last year.

Now it’s 2012 and the band are back on a new label and with a euphonic new single called ‘Once More With Heart’, which is out on the 16th Januar on It’s All Happening! Records.

There are moments of charm and damn good leg-slapping joy, when Secret Rivals let rip. Energy and compulsion entwined with layer upon layer of synths and choppy guitar’s. The band are infectious and will have you on your feet, shaking those hips and dancing till that indie dancefloor can take no more.

One of the finest bands to come out of Essex in the last ten years have only gone and come back to us. Not to make a big thing of it, but who have they asked to have the EXCLUSIVE FIRST BLOGGERS PREVIEW OF A TRACK OFF THEIR NEW ALBUM ‘BUILD’ oh yes that’s right, SOURMASH MUSIC.

Baddies are gearing up now for the release of their second album simply called ‘Build’ and are giving away electro/rock gem ‘Bronto’ away absolutely FREE. Their new album is not out till March 2012, but to kick off proceedings, the band have decided ‘Bronto’ would be a great opener. I am especially privileged as Sourmash Music will be the FIRST BLOG to post the track and you will be able to download it on here for FREE.

Baddies exploded on the scene back in 2009 with their exceptional rabble rousing début ’Do The Job’. A frenetic punk/power pop classic that made you salivate and jump up and down like a lunatic. Recorded in just one week at the famous Rockfield Studios, ‘Do The Job’ was a critical success and saw the band receive praise from their peers.

So they are back and now its time, here is BRAND NEW, NEVER BEFORE HEARD TRACK from Baddies and its called ‘Bronto’. Just click on the ‘down arrow’ on the right to download!!

FREE DOWNLOAD – Cold Hands//Warm Heart by Pose Victorious

I have not only a great new band for you guys to salivate over, but on top of that, I have one of their epic new songs to give away too, aren’t you lucky! Pose Victorious are a big sounding rock band who capture the essence of what it means to be something special.

Hailing from bonnie Scotland, the band seem to know a thing a two about creating euphoric, call to arms rock ‘n’ roll. They attracted the attention of a certain Owen Morris, because he took them under his wing and between them, their self-titled E.P. was born in February 2010. Since then the lads have been touring extensively and refuse to stop there, as April and May see them take in several dates across Scotland and a date in London. Supporting the likes of The Draymin, Johnny Foreigner and Razorlight, they will be pushing their brand new E.P. entitled Beneath The Lighthouse, which will be released on the 6th June.

Masses of red-blooded, intensified guitar drenched assonance, that has moments of jubilation and damn right class. So with that in mind, they have only decided to give something away! This brand new single, ‘Cold Hands//Warm Heart’ is the introduction to their as yet unreleased EP. Have a listen and download, as it will be an experience you will want to relive over and over again. Racing Race by Flashguns *FREE DOWNLOAD ALERT*

Well hello there, I know I have been away for a little while, been on my hols and enjoying some sunshine amidst this rather bleak world. I’m back now and hope you all enjoyed my interview I did with Young Guns!

So as a little welcome back post and to celebrate my 100Th post (true fact!), I wanted to let you experience this little gem of a 7 minute Mini-Epic by the amazing Flashguns.

The band have been very busy recently, touring with the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club and Mona at the tail-end of 2010. They are currently touring with one of my favourite bands at the moment, Funeral Party. This wonderfully constructed opus can originally be found on one of their earlier EP’s, but the band have decided to give it away as taster to ‘Passions of A Different Kind’, their yet to be released debut album.

This astonishing introduction is euphoric and simply divine in its delivery. It was something that hit me instantly and knew that I had to share it with you lovely people. So have a listen and DOWNLOAD and it is yours to enjoy…..
