As you may have read my previous post today, the final HP and Last.fm pop up session has been announced and none other than Mercury nominated Ghostpoet has been scheduled to perform. It will be on the 22nd of August at the Big Chill Bar on Brick Lane, London and Ghostpoet will take to the stage at 8pm.

Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize Nominee, Ghostpoet (aka Obaro Ejimiwe) will be the final act to perform at one of these special pop up sessions that have been happening over the last few months. With his recent mercury announcement and critical praise from Roots Manuva and Mike Skinner from The Streets under his belt, we can only expect one hell of a performance from this London based Singer/Rapper. With his debut album, Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam, released back in February this year, Obaro has slowly picked up fans along the way and praise for his work. Signed to Giles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings label, Ghostpoet has done support slots for the likes of Metronomy and Jamie Woon and continues to grow in popularity in the process.

This is Ghostpoet’s latest single entitled ‘Survive It’

So that is August 22nd at The Big Chill Bar on Brick Lane, London at 8pm. I will most certainly be there as this is something I definitely don’t want to miss!
